Well done, good solid advise for guitar players of all sorts. From guitar lessons for beginners to folks looking for intermediate level lessons.

Rob: I'm not a physical therapist, so I don't have a good answer to that. I will say, though, that my technique has never been dynamite (lots of curling the thumb around the neck, &c) and I haven't had any of the problems you speculate about.

To be totally honest, this was my first thought when I heard about these finger weights. I'm sure they're no trouble if you're technique is already good, but what if you're using the wrong muscles to start with?

Surely they would just create more tension and injury if your technique is already bad? So they're not good for your technique, just your strength?

I've not tried them, so I don't know. That's just how it seems to me.

Dear Ace,
I agree with Brad, You obviously have an underlying medical condition responsible for your pain. Get to a hand specialist ASAP. Thank goodness the weights may be a blessing in disguise and raised a red flag to your condition.
Good luck,
Steve

Adam - It's great to hear that you're getting so much out of the site! I like your idea, too - I'll put it in the queue.

Expect more new features to be added this fall - work and other projects have me pretty much slammed at the moment, but I'm hoping to catch some breathing room in a couple of months.

Love everything you're doing with the site. It's a near daily stop for me during my practice time. One thing I would like is to be able to star or favorite an individual exercise. Sometimes I'll come across one that is just fun to play and want to mark it to get back to it easily later.
